Park
Jacob The Rabbit
(Bad Timing Records)

Forming in the late ’90s Park has released three acclaimed full length records. After their reformation last year the band is at it again. Jacob The Rabbit is Park’s first material in almost a decade and serves at the bands prologue to their upcoming full length album.

Jacob The Rabbit is a three song EP just over thirteen minutes long. The first four minutes of the EP are spent heavenly on a track called “Lepus Fugam.” This Thursday vibe track pumps through melodies and innovative song writing technique that will keep you thoroughly entertained. Track 2 starts slow and rumbles along through a couple of tempo changes; the story told fits the overall theme of the album. This track seems to be carried by the beat and only accompanied by the voice to tell the story. “Tickling The Dragon’s Tail” is the opposite of “The Infection of El-ahrairhah.” “Tickling The Dragon’s tail” is carried completely by the vocal performance.

Overall, Jacob The Rabbit has me intrigued and excited about Park’s return. (Justin Petrucci)
